Airstar has established a Globalstar specialized product development
program to accommodate the custom-application needs of the aviation
market, including conformance with FAA and industry safety and operational
requirements.
Complete Airstar airborne telephone systems for the Globalstar satellite
network will include antenna units, audio panel interface (if required), convenient
dialing features, and multi-station capabilities, as the entire product line
fills-in over time. This product family provides seamless in-flight access to
the reliable Globalstar world-wide satellite network at a very affordable
price. while featuring digital-quality voice, fax, e-mail, and data
communication.
The planned availability of Airstar's first aviation product offering is during
the 3rd quarter of year 2003.
